The plagiarism is also extended to figures, tables, equations or illustrations, direct downloads from the internet without proper acknowledgement to the sources from which they are taken.
Self-plagiarism is a closely related topic. In this document we define self-plagiarism as the verbatim or near-verbatim reuse of significant portions of one's own copyrighted work without citing the original work. Self-plagiarism does not related to publications based on the contributor's own previously published and copyrighted work (e.g., visible in a conference proceedings) where a clear reference is prepared to the prior publication. Such reuse does not require quotation marks to delineate the reused text but does require that the source be cited.
At times, the authors may not aware that they are plagiarizing the content; nevertheless it is one's own responsibility to clearly demarcate the differences between paraphrasing and quoting exact words and citing with proper references. Sometimes, the authors knowingly borrow the ideas, contents from the other authors which constitutes blatant plagiarism.
Olites journals does not encourage plagiarism in any form, therefore, we strongly recommend that you thoroughly review your content before submitting it to any of our journals for publication. While there are several free plagiarism-checking tools available online, please note that they may not be entirely reliable."
