Summary of The Editorial Process

  • The author submits a manuscript, which is assigned a unique tracking number.
  • An editor is designated to handle the manuscript.
  • The editorial team evaluates whether the manuscript should proceed to peer review. If not, the editor informs the author of the decision.
  • If selected for review, the editor invites potential reviewers and notifies the author.
  • Reviewers confirm their willingness to evaluate the manuscript.
  • Reviewers submit their feedback and recommendations to the editor.
  • The editorial team reviews the reports and the editor makes a final decision. This may include further discussions with reviewers and editor-mediated communication among reviewers.
  • The editor communicates the decision to the author.
  • If the manuscript is not accepted, the author may be offered the option to transfer the submission to another journal. If peer-reviewed, reviewer comments will accompany the transfer.
