The article should be organized in the following order: Cover Letter, Title, List of Authors, Author Affiliations, Author Order, Corresponding Author Information, Abstract, Keywords, Abbreviations, Main Text, Methods, References, Supplementary Information (if applicable), and Acknowledgements, Author Contributions, Author Information (including data deposition statement, competing interest declaration, and corresponding author details), Tables, Figure Legends.

Send a cover letter

The corresponding author is required to prepare a cover letter explaining the suitability of the submitted work for publication in Olites. The letter should confirm that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration for publication in any other journal. It must also include the signatures of all authors. If the primary author is a student, it is recommended that they obtain prior approval from their academic department before submitting the manuscript. Download the cover letter by clicking here

Author Names and Affiliations

Authors must provide complete affiliation details, including: Full name, Department or division, Institution or university, City, state, and country, Telephone number, Fax (if applicable), Email address.

Corresponding Author

The editorial office will correspond exclusively with the designated corresponding author. The publisher, editors, reviewers, and editorial staff are not responsible for resolving authorship disputes. If any authors have contributed equally to the work or share corresponding author responsibilities, this must be clearly stated within the manuscript.

Abstract

The abstract should be informative, concise, and clearly summarize the key aspects of the study. It must highlight significant findings and conclusions, as it is often the only part of the article that many readers pay close attention to. Therefore, authors should ensure that the abstract is accurate and precise. In many cases, inconsistencies arise between the data presented in the abstract and the main text; thus, authors are required to carefully review the abstract to ensure consistency throughout. The abstract should typically be limited to 100–150 words and should not include references or citations. It must briefly cover the background of the study, its aim, methods, key results, and conclusion.

Keywords

Research articles, reviews, and case studies should include 4–8 relevant keywords that are frequently used throughout the manuscript. Keywords must be separated by semicolons (e.g., Hormones; Histogenesis; Organogenesis).

Abbreviations

The use of standard abbreviations in scientific articles is highly encouraged and appreciated. Each abbreviation should be properly expanded upon its first mention. Abbreviations should not appear in the title; if they are included, they must be fully expanded."

Nomenclature and Measurements

  • The SI (International System of Units) method is highly recommended for presenting units.
  • Binomial nomenclature is widely used and recommended for naming microorganisms, plants, and animals.
  • DDBJ/GenBank accession numbers should be used for reporting gene sequences and amino acid sequences.

Manuscript Title

The title should be a brief catchphrase representing the contents of the article. Title should not contain any abbreviations, if so, must be expended.

Introduction

It should reflect the quality of the article by presenting a realistic overview of the study, referencing relevant literature, and outlining the proposed methodology or anticipated results. Additionally, it must capture the attention of readers across a broad range of scientific disciplines.

Materials And Methods

This section should provide a comprehensive outline of the study. It must include detailed descriptions of materials used, experimental subjects or members involved, evaluations conducted, and types of investigations performed. Advanced experimental procedures should be clearly stated, and any specific modifications to established or published techniques should be briefly described with appropriate citations.

The Methods section should be organized using subheadings and sub-subheadings that reflect the structure of the research activities. Dedicated subsections for statistical analysis, reagents, and animal models are recommended where applicable.

If the study involves human or animal subjects, a clear statement of ethical approval must be included. This should mention the approving institutional, university, or national ethics committee. For clinical trials involving human participants, a registration or approval number must also be provided. Please ensure that there is no duplication of information between the Methods section and any Supplementary Information that may be provided.

Units

Units should include a single space between the number and the unit, and follow SI nomenclature or the terminology standard to the specific field.

Figures and Tables

Figures and tables must be submitted as separate, individual files. Each figure and table should include a clear and concise legend and must be cited in the text in sequential order. All figures must be high-resolution and submitted in either .jpg or .tiff format. Tables should be provided in editable text format not as images or figures. Scanned images or figures that are under copyright will not be accepted. If authors intend to reuse previously published figures or tables, they must obtain and provide appropriate copyright permissions from the original publisher and ensure proper citation within the manuscript.

Results and Discussions

Results and Discussion segments may be presented either jointly or separately. Assumptions and interpretative analysis should not be included in the Results section, but may be appropriately addressed within the Discussion section.

Acknowledgement

The manuscript must include confirmations related to individual contributions, grant details, funding or resources received, and any conflicts of interest. Authors should clearly acknowledge their specific roles, such as study design, data collection, and manuscript preparation. All listed authors share responsibility for the content and any subsequent revisions of the article. Any financial support received from universities, institutes, or public/private sectors must be disclosed within the manuscript. Complete funding details must be provided, including the grant number and the name of the grant holder.

Authors funded by agencies such as the NIH or the Welcome Trust must ensure that the final accepted version of the article is submitted to the PMC public access repository (http://publicaccess.nih.gov).

Appendix

Appendices or supplementary data should be submitted as a separate file and must be clearly cited within the main text of the article. Supplementary materials may include figures, tables, and referenced text that support the findings of the study. A dedicated link to the supplementary information will be provided on the journal’s website at no additional cost.

References

The content of each article should include properly cited references in consecutive order. Authors must ensure that all references are current and formatted according to the prescribed style.

Copyrights

Authors are required to transfer the copyright to the publisher upon acceptance of the article for publication, under a relevant license that permits distribution, reuse, and reprinting of the published work. This copyright transfer includes all components of the article, such as tables, figures, supplementary data, and any other part that may be reused.

Authors retain ownership of patents, trademarks, and intellectual property rights, including the original findings presented in their work. If any previously published content such as figures, tables, or text is reproduced, it is the responsibility of the corresponding author to obtain the necessary copyright permissions from the original publisher. Proper citation and documented evidence of copyright clearance must be provided wherever applicable.

Retraction/Withdrawal

Errors in scientific publications are not uncommon; however, they should not compromise the accuracy or systematic integrity of the journal. Scientific misconduct or methodological flaws in experiments are not acceptable under any circumstances. To uphold the quality and credibility of its publications, the editors of Olites journals adhere to an internationally recognized retraction policy. If authors violate ethical standards such as by submitting plagiarized or duplicated content the article will be retracted. A retraction notice, including the reason for retraction, will be published on the journal’s website, along with the relevant citation and web link. In cases where a published article generates significant scholarly debate, the journal may publish letters to facilitate discussion and exchange of viewpoints.

Erratum

The Erratum section includes corrections pertaining to various levels of construction in a published article. Only writing errors, editing and typesetting mistakes, and inaccuracies in tables or figures will be addressed. These corrections will be published in the succeeding issue of the journal.

Corrigendum

Corrigendum refers to corrections submitted by the authors after the publication of an article. These corrections are published only if they do not alter the results or conclusions of the original article. Errors such as incorrect units of measurement, misidentification of strains, authorship, or affiliations may be corrected only when the corresponding author submits a formal statement to the editorial office. This statement must include a detailed list of corrections along with a document containing written approval from all co-authors.

Roles and commitments authors agree to uphold

Olites Publishers is a committed supporter of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). In line with the BOAI principles, all articles published in Auctores journals are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY). This license allows anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, or use the content for any lawful purpose without seeking prior permission from the publisher or author, provided the original work and source are properly cited.

Olites offers authors the option to publish their research through the payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC), which may be covered by the author or a sponsor. Authors retain the copyright to their work and publish under a Creative Commons license, ensuring both openness and author rights.

Maintaining Research Results

Research findings should be documented and preserved in a manner that enables thorough analysis and review both by collaborators prior to publication and by other researchers for a reasonable time afterward. In certain cases, exceptions may be justified to protect privacy, secure intellectual property rights, or for similar valid reasons.

The fabrication of data represents a serious breach of scientific integrity, as does the intentional misrepresentation of findings through selective reporting aimed at misleading others. Similarly, the unauthorized use or theft of data or research results is a grave violation of ethical standards.

Publication and Authorship Responsibilities

Authors bear a primary responsibility to present a clear, accurate account of the research conducted, accompanied by an objective discussion of its significance. Manuscripts should include sufficient detail and references to publicly available sources to enable replication of the work by others.

Appropriate acknowledgment of others’ contributions is essential. Authors must cite all publications that have significantly influenced the conception, design, or execution of the reported research. Privately obtained information such as insights from conversations, correspondence, or discussions must not be included without explicit permission from the source. Similarly, information acquired through confidential processes, such as peer review of manuscripts or grant proposals, may not be used without the author’s consent.

The corresponding author is responsible for obtaining approval from all listed co-authors for the submission and publication of all versions of the manuscript. Individuals who have made significant, independent contributions to the research should be offered co-authorship.

Manuscripts submitted must present original, unpublished work that is not under review by any other journal, except in oral, poster, or abstract form. Duplicate or redundant publication is strictly prohibited.

Author Obligations

Authors are primarily obligated to provide a clear, accurate account of their research and an impartial discussion of its significance. Manuscripts should include sufficient detail and references to publicly available sources to enable replication of the work by others.

Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are serious breaches of scientific ethics and will not be tolerated. Any content derived from previously published material, including the authors’ own prior work, must be appropriately cited.

Authors must avoid fragmenting research findings across multiple publications when the data could be more effectively communicated as a unified study. Each paper should offer a comprehensive and coherent treatment of a distinct aspect of the research.

Any critiques of published work whether in a comment or a full article must be respectful, evidence-based, and free of inflammatory or unprofessional language.

If at any point any of these conditions are no longer met, the authors are obligated to inform the Editor promptly so that appropriate corrective action can be taken.
